Tori Turner
Her senior class at Deer Park High School (by way of Mt. Healthy High School) voted her “Most Quiet”! Since then Tori has been chatting away on the airwaves from Bowling Green, OH to Shreveport, LA. While studying at Bowling Green State University, playing music on the college radio station was just something Tori enjoyed doing on the weekends…more like a hobby. It wasn’t until she landed her first radio job at Cincinnati’s WCIN that she decided that radio was what she wanted to pursue. Her career has taken her to Greenville, SC, Shreveport, LA and then back to Cincinnati’s WIZF (as air personality Porsche Benz). From there she worked Cincinnati’s Smooth Jazz format and then transitioned to Jammin’ Oldies. For Tori being on-air is the fun part of radio, but she also enjoys programming behind the scenes and has served as Assistant Program Director, Music Director and Program Director at her various stations. “I enjoy the listeners, the science of radio listening, and most of all…the music. I’m one of those people who has tons of 12” vinyl sitting in peach or milk crates in my basement.” When she’s not doing the radio thing she’s pretty active at her church and also serves on the Board of Trustees for a non-profit that focuses on family and housing needs. She loves HGTV, Food Network and screaming “Put some hustle on it!” at her son’s soccer games.
