If you’ve ever bet on the Cowboys lately you know that it’s always a risk involved. That’s why you don’t bet big. Well obviously pregnant Dallas fan Marissa Pena didn’t get the memo.
Last season, she made a bet with her boyfriend Emanuel Vega. The bet was simple: If the Cowboys beat theRedskins on Thanksgiving Day, then the couple would name their son-to-be “Austin Miles Vega.” But, if the Redskins beat the Cowboys, then the couple would name their son-to-be “Robert Griffin Vega.” No point spreads. No stipulations. Just a straight-up bet for the right to name their child.
Well, if you watched the game then you witnessed the Cowboys fall apart and lose 38-31. As a result, baby “Robert Griffin Vega” is due to be born in April. Dad is a very happy man.
“I would die if my son grew up to be a Cowboys fan,” Vega said recently. “That’d be awful. I don’t even know how I’d feel.”
We don’t think he will have a problem with that.
