Poll: Would you want Scott Rolen for Another Season?

Dodgers manager Don Mattingly has been in talks with free agent third baseman Scott Rolen – who has played for the Reds since being traded from the Blue Jays in 2009.

Rolen’s production has clearly dropped and has missed time due to back related issues throughout his Reds career.  However, the leadership qualities he possesses can make a team look past dropping stats and health issues.  The Dodgers are willing to use him as an insurance option at third base.

Would you welcome him back if Frazier was the starter?  Do you think he should retire?  Would you even want him  to start over Frazier?

Walt Jocketty:

When asked if he knows anything about Rolen, Jocketty joked, “Yes. But I’m not going to tell you.”

He then added that we should know one way or the other about Scott Rolen’s future “within the next couple of days.”
