Rick’s Weekend Watch List: What I’m watching INSTEAD of the Pro Bowl! [VIDEO]

Welcome to Rick’s Weekend Watch List. It’s my goal here to get you set up for your weekend. You can look here every Friday for whats worth watching (in my opinion) so when that “Honey Do List” comes out, you can plan accordingly. First and for most for this weekend, I will NOT be watching the Pro Bowl! Its an unwatchable and meaningless game that the players don’t even care about.

For crying out loud this a game isn’t even the game of the best players. Tom Brady, Aaron Rodgers, Matt Ryan, Calvin Johnson, Brandon Marshall, and Wes Welker are all sitting out due to “Injury”. This is nothing more than a free trip to Hawaii for these guys. They don’t care, I don’t care. It’s not even real football. But I could spend all day bitching about how a football game where its literally illegal to play defense doesn’t need to be played. Onto what I will be watching this weekend!

Friday

Honestly… Tonight’s a wash. Guys take the girls out for a night on the town.

“Hansel and Gretel: Witch Hunters” looks a great movie to check out tonight. Although with Jeremy Renner having a crossbow, I’m counting this as the “Hawkeye” movie.

Saturday

Saturday is loaded with Top 25 Basketball teams in action. Some of the better games including #1 Duke vs Maryland, #14 Ohio St. taking on Penn St. and #15 New Mexico against San Diego St. But one game does have my attention.

Chane-BehananAt Noon #5 Louisville takes on Big East Rival (At least for this year) Georgetown. Should be a great game, as long as Georgetown shows up. Louisville is looking to bounce back from a loss to Villanova this week.

Saturday Night, I’m watching Hockey. Yes, for those of you who don’t know, Hockey is back. And shockingly enough the Jackets have a pretty good young team even without Rick Nash. Now if they could just get a goalie worth a damn, they could even find themselves as a 7 or 8 seed. Regardless I’ll check them out 7 when they take on the Blackhawks.

Jackets

At least until its 4-0 in the first….

Sunday

Sunday I’m watching one thing and one thing only. And please don’t judge, but I’m watching WWE’s Royal Rumble on PPV!

Royal Rumble

Usually I’d watch just for the Rumble Match itself, but this year my child hood favorite The Rock is back to fight CM Punk for the WWE Championship! Can’t wait for this. If you’re a wrestling fan I highly suggest it! It’ll cost you some money though, so if free is your game, there’s always the Pro Bowl!
